Jill’s values guide her work.
Relationship – Relationships are foundational to outcomes and are centered in Jill’s approach
Needs – Having needs is a part of the human experience and they inform our actions
Dignity – Each person matters and has a unique contribution to make to a situation
Justice – Being together well requires repair, humility, courage, and support
Collaboration – Our world is formed by interconnectedness. Our lives affect others and working together is key to wholeness and healing
As fellow restorative practitioner DeMointé Wesley says, “a restorative mindset is about embodying the presence we want to invite others into.”
Jill helps organizations create inclusive healing-centered spaces to build community, engage in challenging situations, and support growth. After working in business and educational settings for over 25 years she helps organizations build a culture that works for everyone. Jill is passionate about creating environments where people feel seen and valued. Restorative practices create structures to build safety and trust, inviting persons to share their authentic selves. She believes sharing our stories helps us connect with ourselves and each other, laying the foundation for respecting different perspectives and growing our ability to hold differences and build a space where each person can flourish.
Jill received her Master of Restorative Justice degree from Eastern Mennonite University’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding. Jill is skilled at developing productive relationships to foster a cooperative attitude of trust and communication. She practices, trains, and educates with a restorative justice lens.
