Services

Our vision is to help individuals and organizations build a culture that works for everyone and to create spaces where everyone can flourish. That could be addressing harm between neighbors, tenants/owners, co-workers, and community organization members or working to create an environment where people feel and know they matter. We customize our service using a mix of the services below:

Coaching

Growth and learning are key to achieving our goals and support is needed to sustain growth and learning. Support looks and feels many different ways but often includes someone who can listen well, reflect what they hear while asking questions to help you imagine in a new way. During client conversations, Jill aims for clients to discover their possibilities as they view a situation from a fresh perspective. She believes the synergy created between multiple parties leads to something larger than ourselves and empowers everyone involved. We support each other in growing our capacity to handle challenges in a way that transforms situations. Jill believes each person has a unique contribution to the world. The world is a better place if each of us is affirmed for our purpose instead of trying to comply with another’s prescribed path. She is passionate about helping clients name and align with their purpose so they can flourish, serve humanity and the collective good.

“Because of the many studies that we have participated in together over the years, Jill and I have had many in-depth conversations. I have always felt that Jill has approached these conversations with kindness, empathy and without judgment” ~ Heidi

Facilitation
Facilitation

Each gathering is unique with its joys and challenges. Intentionally curating a space to meet the group’s needs and the purpose of the gathering is foundational to being together well. Often the focus is finding a date, time, and space that works for everyone and we assume things will fall in line or we feel ill-equipped at anything beyond presenting the basic PowerPoint. Jill uses restorative practices and facilitation tools to create a space that invites participants to participate fully and authentically with support.

Facilitation

I enjoyed my group’s training with Jill so much! She facilitates in a way that makes me feel safe to be vulnerable, and I left the training with practical takeaways to apply in so many different areas of my life.

Restorative Conference
Restorative Conference

A restorative conference is a relationship centered process to address harm and invite accountability. The process invites participants to listen to understand instead of listening to respond.

The questions that inform the process are:

  • Who was harmed?
  • What are their needs?
  • Who is responsible for those needs?

A restorative approach values transparency, accountability, respect, participation, healing, self-empowerment, humility, and interconnectedness. It creates a culture where conflict is viewed as an opportunity for growth, inviting persons into accountability with support. A culture where feedback is valued and people believe their voice matters.

“Having a process in a neutral environment with the goal of expectations and how to come to a resolution explained prior to speaking about the perceived issues made it less intimidating to confront the other party involved.” ~ Restorative Conference participant

Jill was extremely helpful in creating peace among two neighboring tenants through a restorative process.  After receiving instructions from Jill they were able to honestly and peacefully describe their feelings with each other and came up with their own solution to their crisis.  ~ Restorative Conference participant

Circle
Circle

A Circle is a restorative practice. It is a storytelling tool that has been used by Indigenous communities around the world for millennia. The Circle is a nonhierarchical space that invites us to participate by speaking and listening. Both are active roles and important. It recognizes that each person has a story and each story offers a lesson to the community. A Circle invites us to connect with ourselves and others. Circles can be used broadly and provide a way to celebrate, grieve, resolve conflict, and build community.

“The Circle process  prompted me to think in new ways about familiar relational dynamics”  ~ Community Circle participant

“A Circle is a great way to learn other points of view and share your own in a safe, judgment free space” ~ Community Circle participant

“I would recommend a Circle process for challenging topics because it let walls come down gradually, acknowledging that  everyone comes from different places, and that experiences may have  differences but are still valid.” ~ Circle participant

Mediation
Mediation

Mediation is a tool to address conflict in a way that builds agency for disputing parties. It creates a space for participants to self-determine how to resolve conflict with the opportunity to address power dynamics and practice being together in healing-centered ways. The contexts for mediation are numerous and Jill currently mediates with tenants and landlords.
